Pool play begins tonight as Australia is set to take on Chinese Taipei in the 2013 World Baseball Classic Opening game. A full preview of the game can be read here.
Remember, Round 1 consists of round-robin pool play, with the top two teams advancing to Round 2 of the tournament. The pools are divided as follows:
Pool A (March 2-6 at Fukioka, Japan)
Pool B (March 2-5 at Taichung, Taiwan)
Kingdom of the Netherlands
Pool C (March 7-10 at San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Pool D (March 7-10 at Phoenix, Arizona)
United States of America
All games of the tournament will be broadcast on the MLB Network.
