Lincecum’s New Look

The trademark flowing hair is gone. Tim Lincecum has chopped off his trademark shoulder-length hair as looks forward to what he is hoping will be a bounce back season with the San Francisco Giants.

The two-time Cy Young award winner struggled mightily last year, posting just a 10-15 record with a 5.18 earned run average, the highest in the National League among players who qualified. His lack of success forced manager Bruce Bochy to move Lincecum from the starting rotation to the bullpen during the Giants World Series run.

Lincecum will be a free agent at the end of the 2013 season, so he will be pitching for a new contract as well.
